Tiger Woods’ first aggressive begin on the PGA Tour in 2024 was short-lived, lasting solely 24 holes on the Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club.
On Friday, Woods left the course in a golf cart after hitting his tee shot on the par-4 seventh gap. The PGA Tour later reported that Woods withdrew as a consequence of illness.
Woods had an up-and-down opening spherical on Thursday, posting 5 birdies and 6 bogeys — and hitting one surprising shank — to signal for a spherical of one-over-par 72.
On Friday, Woods birdied the primary gap and bogeyed the 4th and fifth holes to take a seat at one over on the day, and two over for the event, on the time of his withdrawal.
