British Grand Prix FINAL grid after ALL driver penalties

George Russell beat Lewis Hamilton to secure pole as their Mercedes group reeled off a front row lockout in Saturday’s tense qualifying session for Sunday’s British Grand Prix.

The two Britons got a wild ovation by the group who noticed a 3rd Briton Lando Norris of McLaren take third to ship the primary one-two-three by British drivers at their dwelling race.

It was the primary British triple high in qualifying at any race for the reason that 1968 South African Grand Prix.

Russell grabbed pole in a single minute and 25.819 seconds to beat seven-time champion Hamilton by 0.171 seconds within the remaining minute because the monitor improved, the trio leaving sequence chief and three-time champion Max Verstappen to qualify fourth in his barely broken Red Bull.

Oscar Piastri was fifth within the second McLaren forward of Nico Hulkenberg of Haas, Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz, Lance Stroll of Aston Martin, Alex Albon of Williams and two-time champion Fernando Alonso within the second Aston Martin.

The race will begin at 16:00 (SA time).
