FRAZER Clarke has damaged his silence after what has been a difficult week for his profession.
The 31-year-old had been mandated by the British Boxing Board of Control because the challenger for Fabio Wardley’s British heavyweight title. A struggle that Clarke was on report saying he did need.
On Wednesday (May 10) the noon deadline for the purse bids drew nearer and nearer. Online hypothesis grew and grew with followers questioning whether or not Eddie Hearn or Ben Shalom would win for their respective fighters.
News then dropped that Hearn had been knowledgeable by the Board there could be no purse bids as Shalom and Clarke had withdrawn. The response from followers was not beneficial. The Boxxer promoter and his star heavyweight have been put into the firing line, and the pictures by no means let up for the remainder of the day.
Wardley spoke to Boxing News that afternoon and was clearly irritated and pissed off.
“Today’s been nothing but a pure mess, a s**t show. Boxxer, Sky, 258 [management], Frazer, they’re all just lost in the mud. They’re all running around headless; no-one knows what they’re doing. No-one’s on the same page, no-one knows what they want to do. One person wants to go left, one person wants to go right.”

“That’s a question for his management,” replied Shalom who didn’t need to “throw anyone under the bus”.
