Alpine rues lack of pace for tough Imola race

Alpine drivers Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon rued the lack of pace of their automotive for a tough race weekend in Imola that noticed the Anglo-French outfit unable to problem for factors.

Alpine had one other troublesome race weekend. Although each drivers managed to battle their manner into the second qualifying session, displaying encouraging pace over a single lap, Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon struggled for race pace on Sunday.

Commenting on a tough race for Alpine, workforce boss Bruno Famin added: “It was a troublesome race for the workforce in Imola right this moment. We lacked pace and the choice technique we tried with Pierre didn’t work as there have been no incidents on monitor.

“The leaders of the race have been very quick right this moment and we have been caught early on with blue flags, which price us extra time.
