Anthony Davis has detailed his preliminary response to the Lakers choosing Bronny James fifty fifth general on the NBA Draft final month.
“I actually called him when he got drafted,” Davis said in an interview with Today. “I called LeBron, I don’t have Bronny’s number yet. I called Bron, you know, (LeBron said) ‘What’s up man?’ (I said) ‘I don’t want to talk to you, I want to talk to my new teammate!’”
Davis added that he was excited to be part of historical past, with LeBron and Bronny set to be the primary father-son teammates in NBA historical past.
