“Yesterday, during training exercises in Boca Raton, I tore my Achilles tendon,” Langer stated in a press release launched by the PGA Tour.
“I’ll have surgical procedure (Friday) to restore the damage, which can trigger me to overlook time enjoying aggressive golf as I get better.
“Throughout my career, faith and family have been my bedrocks, providing me strength and guiding me through difficult times,” Langer added. “I will lean on both as I work towards a return to competition.”
