Veteran capturing guard C.J. McCollum and the NewOrleans Pelicans agreed to a two-year, $64 million contract extension.
McCollum shall be below contract with the Pels by way of the 2025-26 season, with no participant or workforce choice, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

New Orleans core of McCollum, Brandon Ingram, and Zion Williamson are all below contract for the following three seasons giving Pels followers a motive to be hopeful.
McCollum joined New Orleans final season in a deal that despatched Josh Hart, Thomas Satoransky, and Nickeil Alexander-Walker, to Portland for McCollum, Larry Nance Jr., and Tony Snell.
McCollum averaged 24.3 factors, 4.5 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.3 steals, and 2.7 triples per recreation after the commerce to New Orleans.
New Orleans completed the season 36-46 earlier than beating the Spurs and Clippers within the play-in match regardless of Williamson being out of the lineup.
They finally fell to defending Western Conference champs the Phoenix Suns 4-2 within the first spherical.
