Chiefs defender Ngezana joins Romanian club

Kaizer Chiefs on Thursday introduced that defender Siyabonga Ngezana has joined Romanian Liga 1 club Fotbal Club FCSB, previously often known as Steaua Bucharesti.

The 25-year-old defender leaves Amakhosi after nearly seven years with the club having been promoted to the senior facet from the Chiefs growth constructions in July 2016.

“There is always a tinge of sadness when a player who has risen through the ranks here leaves the Club,” mentioned Chiefs sporting director, Kaizer Motaung Jr as quoted by the club’s web site on Thursday.

“However, Siya has had a good and substantial career at Kaizer Chiefs and feels the time is right to take up a new challenge. We appreciate his wholehearted commitment to Amakhosi and wish him well on his exciting adventure to Europe.”

Ngezana turns into the second Chiefs growth graduate to be bought to an abroad league within the final six months, after Njabulo Blom who joined St. Louis City SC within the Major League Soccer within the United States of America.

Meanwhile, as reported earlier, Chiefs are set to make modifications to their technical staff, with Arthur Zwane dropping his publish as head coach. Word is that he shall be changed by former Young Africans coach Nasreddine Nabi who left his job on Wednesday.

Nabi is believed to have already landed in South Africa to start talks with Chiefs.
