Chippa United are in what could be described as a coaching ‘mix masala’ as each Vusimuzi Vilakazi and Morgan Mammila are set to call the shots.

Vilakazi was not too long ago appointed as the new Chippa United Technical Director however he raised eyebrows as he received his arms soiled at the membership’s coaching grounds this week.

‘Kanu’, as Vilakazi is affectionately identified, assumed the function of Technical Director following his resignation from Golden Arrows the place he was co-coaching with Mabhuti Khenyeza.

Now, at Chippa United, Morgan Mammila is the head coach, and will have the remaining say on tactical points of the sport, however Vilakazi may also be there to do the similar.

And that’s in line with Mammila who informed SABC Sport that Vilakazi won’t be restricted to simply being a Technical Director at Chippa United as he may also be his ‘assistant’ on the bench.

Siyabulela Gwambi stays the official assistant coach at Chippa United nevertheless it appears Mammila needs to do issues his personal means by bringing an entire Technical Director nearer to him.

“This man is wearing a lot of caps, you’re going to see him on the bench – he’s my assistant on the bench. One thing for sure, I’m one person who works with people who want to give it their all,” stated Mammila.
“I’m giving him authority to present me every thing that he has on the subject of soccer. I’m not limiting him, and I’m not beginning this factor now, I’m even permitting him to be in cost of coaching the group.
“That’s me. If there’s any person who has expertise in something that I don’t have, bring it on. All other teams you see that are successful, it’s because people are giving it their all,” he added.
“And I need to make all my workers, once they get up, stay up for coming so as to add worth into this group. I’m not a one-man present, that’s one factor for certain.
“So, you are going to see him, he has to sit down and come in and stand up and give instructions, that’s me,” concluded Mammila.

Chippa United’s subsequent sport is away to Richards Bay FC at King Zwelithini Stadium on Tuesday; the venue Vilakazi is accustomed to.
