The Spurs waived Cameron Payne, marking the tip of his transient stint with the staff. Payne had joined San Antonio in July following a trade with the Phoenix Suns.
NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, in a latest report, revealed that the 29-year-old level guard is more likely to generate vital curiosity amongst contending teams.
Wojnarowski wrote on ESPN, “Should Payne clear waivers this week, he’ll have a significant market of contending teams looking to add him — especially after his productive postseason performance for the Phoenix Suns in the 2023 Western Conference playoffs.”
During the earlier season, Payne averaged10.3 factors, 2.2 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in simply 20.2 minutes per recreation.
