Former coach Joe Goossen is certain Ryan Garcia will return a better fighter

“HE’LL come back with a vengeance,” says Joe Goossen of Ryan Garcia, with whom Goossen break up after Garcia’s stoppage in April by Gervonta “Tank” Davis – their third battle as fighter and coach. “Ryan, with solely 24 fights, took on a very wily, robust, unbeaten knockout artist – a left-hander, who’s confirmed himself again and again to in all probability be one of many high three fighters on the market at the moment. That was a tall order.

“But Ryan beats nearly all people else – particularly the appropriate handers. His artillery actually hits the mark in opposition to proper handers. It’s a little bit harder in opposition to southpaws. That stated, Ryan will come again, and he’ll be better than earlier than. I assure it.

“God knows I hate to lose and he hates to lose, so that wasn’t something we enjoyed; it was a bitter pill to swallow. But that’s different to a personal relationship. That’s the business end of it. I understand the nature of this business. Nothing lasts forever. Sometimes it doesn’t last for more than a year. Sometimes it lasts for one fight. Sometimes it lasts seven, eight years. I’m ready for all of the variables and I can live with all of them.”
