Alfa Romeo driver Valtteri Bottas set the quickest lap time within the opening apply on the Canadian Grand Prix after the session was curtailed by a CCTV blackout.
Just minutes into the session, the initially 60-minute apply was red-flagged after Pierre Gasly’s Alpine floor to a halt minutes into the session.
Although Gasly’s automotive was rapidly recovered, the session couldn’t be restarted as the race management misplaced entry to CCTV footage because of an influence challenge.
While restore jobs have been carried out to the native cameras, the clock continued to tick down and the session finally timed out with no additional action.
