The New York Red Bulls’ vacation ticket promotion involving subsequent season’s home opener has a catch written in the small print: A recreation towards Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami is not included.
The Red Bulls distributed an e mail to customers on Tuesday providing a two-game “Holiday Pack” that features subsequent season’s home opener and the derby towards rival New York City FC. Price per ticket pack ranges from $98 for higher corners/endline, $125 for nook endline/higher sideline, $174 for sideline A/higher heart midfield and $495 for membership seats. A journey mug and collectible determine are included in every pack.
But there may be an asterisk subsequent to the home opener, and on the backside of the e-mail the asterisk is defined in small kind: “If RBNY plays Inter Miami CF in the home opener, each home opener ticket will be replaced with a ticket to RBNY’s 2nd home match.”
Last 12 months, MLS introduced its schedule on Dec. 20.
The Red Bulls declined to touch upon the promotion, spokesman Zachary Lahey stated Wednesday.
Messi, captain of World Cup champion Argentina, joined Miami in July. The 36-year-old attacker scored on the Red Bulls in his MLS debut on Aug. 26, his solely purpose in six league matches. He was in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday, taking part in as Argentina beat Brazil 1-0 in a 2026 World Cup qualifier.
