Gary Player offers weekend hackers free expert bunker advice

South Africa’s biggest ever sportsman, Gary Player, has provided weekend golfers some free bunker advice.

Player, who will flip 88 on 1 November, took to Facebook to put in writing: “The largest fault of out the bunker for weekend gamers, is that they decelerate. Acceleration by the ball is significant to constant bunker play.

“Remember these two issues: Stand large, creating a robust base is vitally essential. Too a lot motion through the swing will result in much less constant placing.

“Set your wrists in a short time and strike the ball with the membership such as you’re placing a match.

“Remember, the harder you practice, the luckier you get.”

During his profession, Gary Player received 9 majors on the common tour and 9 majors on the Champions Tour. 

At the age of 29, Player received the 1965 US Open and have become the one non-American to win all 4 majors in a profession, generally known as the profession Grand Slam. At the time, he was the youngest participant to take action.

Player received three Masters, three Open Championships, two PGA Championships and one US Open throughout his Hall of Fame profession.
