JURIE ROUX STATEMENT ON SA RUGBY DEPARTURE:

Commenting on his the abrupt finish to his tenure at SA Rugby CEO, Jurie Roux mentioned is was a privilege to serve the organisation and that he hopes he leaves the place in a greater situation than it had been when he took workplace.

“The players talk about leaving the jersey in a better condition than when they first received it, and my only hope is that people will say the same of my contribution in time,” Jurie Roux mentioned.

“It has been a interval of nice challenges and a few nice moments, and I would really like to thank my native and worldwide colleagues and our industrial companions for the help they’ve given to rugby and to me over the previous decade.

“I worked with a fantastic group of people daily, and together we have built something amazing that truly unites and inspires our country. Thank you to all the loyal and hardworking staff of SA Rugby; all of you have contributed to the achievements of rugby.”

In an announcement launched on Friday, SA Rugby confirmed that the method to appoint Roux’s successor could be suggested in the end whereas an appearing CEO could be appointed earlier than the top of the month.

It is believed that Sharks CEO Eduard Coetzee and Bulls counterpart Edgar Rathbone are being thought of for the place, with Rathbone understood to be the popular candidate.
