“I saw the penalty but no comment” Ten Hag reacts to derby defeat

Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag reacted to his aspect’s 3-0 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.

A brace from Erlin Haaland and a late aim from Phil Foden gave City all the three factors at Old Trafford.

The defeat is United’s fifth of the season to this point and their hopes of competing for the title at the moment are all but buried after Sunday’s trashing.

Ten Hag stated the penalty in the twenty fifth minute modified the recreation.

“The penalty changed the game. I don’t have a comment on it. I don’t have a comment. Yes [I saw it] but no comment,” stated the Man United supervisor.

“Especially the first half, the game-plan went completely. Only the penalty modified the recreation. The first half, we performed very nicely. We defended excellent, closing the areas, stepping into the press, conserving them away from our personal aim.

“Only one big save by Andre [Onana], they almost didn’t create [too much]. We had opportunities, two or three great breaks, but didn’t benefit from it,” stated ten Hag.

The Dutch coach stated the game-plan labored nicely in the first half but his aspect’s lack of self-discipline in the second half allowed City to capitalise and dominate the match.
