Is Steve Barker tempted to join Chiefs, Pirates or Downs?

Stellenbosch FC head coach Steve Barker says he isn’t tempted to join both Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates or Mamelodi Sundowns.

The 55-year-old mentor lastly gained his first top-flight soccer trophy when Stellies overcame TS Galaxy 5-4 on penalties within the Carling Knockout Cup closing final weekend.

When requested if he was tempted to join the massive three groups, Barker stated he was completely satisfied in his job.

“When you are in a happy place and you are able to achieve what I want to achieve as a coach, not only on the field but also the development and the growing and including players and creating big opportunities for them, what keeps me get up every morning and go to work is the ability to affect lives and at this club I’m able to tick that box really well,” he stated on whether or not he’ll transfer up north.

Barker has been praised by followers and pundits for growing younger gamers.

“You know we’re constructing a squad that’s competing on the prime finish of the desk and [for] trophies – we’ve had two semi-finals, a closing and win.

“I’m completely satisfied at this stage the place I’m, proceed to develop the membership, carve gamers and the potential of this soccer – I do see this soccer membership proceed to grow to be greater in South African soccer, and we’re doing the enterprise the fitting method.
