Ja Morant Speaks On His Crazy First Game Back

Ja Morant was fired up after dropping 34 factors, six rebounds, eight assists and the game-winner in opposition to New Orleans in his first recreation again on Tuesday.

“I’m a dawg,” Morant mentioned on TNT as his teammates mobbed him postgame. “I’ve been putting the work in. I ain’t played a game in eight months. I had a lot of time to learn myself. I had a lot of hard days where I went through it, but basketball is my life and what I love. It’s therapeutic for me. I’m just excited to be back.”

The Grizzlies star additionally addressed being booed by the New Orleans crowd each time he touched the ball.

“You see where that got them,” he quipped.

Meanwhile, Morant’s teammate Desmond Bane revealed postgame that Morant had urged going to Jaren Jackson on the ultimate play.

“Ja got here as much as me and requested me, ‘Do you want to run a post up for Jaren?’ And I used to be like, ‘No, we about to get you the ball’.

Morant then confirmed Bane’s account of issues.

“He told me, f*ck no, you getting the ball,” Ja mentioned with fun.

Morant and the Grizzlies will return to the courtroom once they play the Pacers on Thursday.
