Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane has shared his ideas on the ‘excitement’ that was palpable among the many membership’s administration after drawing Orlando Pirates within the Nedbank Cup semi-finals.

The draw for the semi-finals befell instantly after Kaizer Chiefs’ 2-1 victory over Royal AM within the quarter-finals on Sunday night, leaving followers, coaches and membership bosses on tenterhooks.
Amakhosi had been drawn towards their sworn rivals Orlando Pirates, whereas Stellenbosch FC and Sekhukhune United had been drawn within the second semi-final.
Visuals from the Chatsworth stadium confirmed Kaizer Chiefs’ administration celebrating upon studying that the semi-final can be a Soweto derby, with the Glamour Boys drawn as the house staff.

Despite Kaizer Chiefs’ latest dominance over Orlando Pirates, Zwane defined why there have been celebrations upon the announcement.

“It’s not going to be as easy as everyone thinks because cup games are totally different to league games,” Zwane stated.
“But as I said, we treat every game with respect, and unfortunately, this one is not like any other game. There’s a lot at stake once you meet Pirates, you’re expected to be on top of them and make sure that you win the game,” Zwane advised journalists.

Zwane additionally spoke in regards to the pleasure of enjoying towards a robust Orlando Pirates staff, saying, “I think the excitement comes from knowing that we’re playing Pirates, that is also doing well, that will be good for South African football as well. You know not only about Chiefs but South African football, with Pirates doing well and we’re also finding our way up.”
“I think it’s going to be one game that’s very good to watch,” he added.
The semi-finals are scheduled to be performed on the weekend of 6 and seven May with additional particulars to be shared in the end.
