Lakers Trying to Trade Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley to Hornets

The Lakers have been making enquiries with the Charlotte Hornets forward of the looming commerce deadline as they appear to transfer Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverly, in accordance to Hoops Wire’s Sam Amico.

“The Lakers continue to search for trades centered on guards Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley,” Amico wrote. “They have been in contact with the Hornets lately, sources said.”

The workforce seem to be not less than testing the waters earlier than the February 9 deadline.

NBA insider Chris Haynes believes Lakers common supervisor Rob Pelinka “still has a move or two left in him” so as to bolster the struggling roster.

Westbrook and Beverley are each on expiring contracts, so LA could also be angling to connect them to a draft asset to purchase an everyday rotation participant from Charlotte.

Both guards haven’t discovered a lot success with taking pictures from the sphere, with Westbrook averaging 41.9 p.c whereas Beverley is averaging 39 p.c.

Terry Rozier is one Charlotte participant the Lakers reportedly covet.
