LIVE: Proteas v Australia, 2nd ODI

Proteas skipper Temba Bavuma has gained the toss and elected to bowl within the second ODI towards Australia in Bloemfontein.

Australia lead the five-match sequence 1-0.

“It looks a little bit drier than the other wicket. If there is variability in the bounce we’d like to exploit that with the new ball. I think it will spin as well. We did see under lights it did get a bit better. So batting second traditionally here is something we’d like to do. We’ve got three changes. Lungi Ngidi, Gerald Coetzee and Keshav Maharaj miss out. Tabraiz Shamsi, Andile Phehlukweyo and Anrich Nortje come in,” Bavuma stated on the toss.

Australia gained the primary match by three wickets on Thursday.

“Bit warmer tonight, probably would have bowled first. Looks very similar, it plays better under lights with dew around. Execution is the key here. We have to assess the conditions and see where it takes us. We have two debutants, Tim David and Aaron Hardie come in to the side and Ellis comes in place of Hazlewood,” stated Australian captain Mitchell Marsh.
