Lungi Ngidi ruled out of India series with injury

When the Proteas play India in a three-match T20I series beginning on Sunday, they are going to be lacking one of their key seamers after Lungi Ngidi was ruled out by injury.

The 27-year-old quick bowler sustained a left lateral ankle sprain and received;t take any half within the T20I series.

He had solely been scheduled to be out there for the primary two matches of the series alongside with Gerald Coetzee and Marco Jansen.

Ngidi, who final performed within the league stage of the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, sustained the knock in coaching.

He will endure rehabilitation below the steering of the Proteas medical employees after being dismissed from the T20I squad.

Before a call is made on his participation, he will probably be evaluated forward of the Test series towards India later this month. 

Beuran Hendricks has taken Ngidi’s spot within the T20I squad. If the left-arm seamer attains the taking part in XI, it will likely be his first worldwide match in two years.
