Malibongwe Maketa to take charge of Proteas on Australia tour



The Proteas have a brand new man in charge.

Cricket South Africa (CSA) have introduced that Malibongwe Maketa will fill the position of Proteas interim head coach for South Africa’s three-match Test tour of Australia in December and January.  

Maketa, who’s presently the South Africa A coach and National Academy Lead, will take charge of the Test squad as they put together to face Australia of their penultimate sequence of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC).

Commenting on Maketa’s appointment, Director of Cricket Enoch Nkwe mentioned: “We are happy to identify Malibongwe as our interim coach to lead the Proteas in Australia. He is a well-recognized face to the setting and has labored in the identical area beforehand when he served as assistant coach.
