Markram pleased to see new players in the Proteas set-up

Proteas stand-in one-day captain Aiden Markram says he was pleased to see new faces in the nationwide workforce regardless of the workforce’s 2-1 ODI sequence loss to India.

Tony de Zorzi and Nandre Burger took the most of their alternatives in the lately concluded ODI sequence and needs to be chosen once more in the upcoming excursions.

Markram mentioned it was incredible to see the younger players get the alternative to be a part of the nationwide set-up

“It shows there is a lot of good happening in the franchise system that those guys can come in and perform and [it’s] good for the Proteas because they can show others how to operate,” he mentioned. 

Proteas misplaced the sequence 2-1 to India at residence regardless of the Indians bringing with a a lot weaker workforce to South Africa.

“It’s hard to think of it now,” Markram mentioned. 

“The very first thing that comes to thoughts is we’re giving alternatives to guys, which is incredible for our system. 

“We’re finding a solid way in a blueprint with bat and ball, but [I’m] happy to admit it is not 100% nailed down yet. It is a combination of a few things. When it goes well, it looks good and the brand of cricket looks great,” he mentioned.
