Namibia coach ‘surprised’ by Bafana’s lack of success at AFCON

Bafana Bafana’s lack of success at the African Cup of Nations has stunned Namibian coach Collin Benjamin.

Since 2002, Bafana solely reached the quarter-finals twice in 10 editions, though they didn’t qualify for 4 of these editions.

Speaking after Bafana’s 0-0 draw with Namibia on Saturday, Benjamin stated he was stunned why the 1996 Afcon champions weren’t common semi-finalists at the nations cup.

“Of course, of course it surprises you,” Benjamin was quoted on iDiski Times.

“I have this feeling that you don’t really believe in your team? So ja, it is a surprise,” he stated.
