NBA Guard Cameron Payne Arrested For Giving False Report to Police

NBA free agent Cameron Payne was arrested early Friday morning in Scottsdale, Arizona, for reportedly giving cops a false report and refusing to give his title, TMZ Sports says.

“According to the Scottsdale Police Department, authorities were called out to investigate a disturbance in Scottsdale at around 2:44 AM — and came into contact with Payne and another individual,” TMZ stated.

“It’s unclear precisely what occurred subsequent — cops didn’t give any additional particular particulars — though the SPD says Payne was arrested on the scene and booked on one cost of refusal to present a truthful title and one depend of false report to legislation enforcement.

“We’re told the 29-year-old NBA player was released from custody a short time later.”

Payne has ties to Arizona, since he performed for the Suns from 2019-23.
