Cricket South Africa (CSA) early on Friday confirmed the schedule for Australia’s white-ball tour of South Africa later this 12 months.

The tour will mark the beginning of the 2023/24 worldwide house season, with Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium set to host all three matches of the T20 International (T20I) sequence from 30 August – 3 September.  

The five-match One-Day International (ODI) sequence will get underway at Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein on 7 and 9 September, earlier than the third ODI is contested on the JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom on Tuesday, 12 September.

Both groups will then head to the highveld, the place SuperSport Park will host the fourth ODI on Friday, 15 September, with the ultimate match of the 50-over sequence to be performed on the Wanderers Stadium on Sunday, 17 September.  

The Proteas welcome Australia for the primary time since 2020, when the hosts bounced again from a 2-1 T20I sequence defeat to beat Australia 3-0 in the ODI sequence.  

Chief Executive Officer Pholetsi Moseki commented: “It is the beginning of the worldwide season for us and it’s a significantly necessary marketing campaign in many respects due to the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup which is going down in India later in the 12 months.
