Former NBA MVP James Harden made headlines by publicly expressing his frustration with 76ers President of Basketball Operations, Daryl Morey, whom he labeled a “liar.” Harden’s remark stemmed from a reported unfulfilled promise of a contract extension.
Patrick Beverley, who as soon as shared the courtroom with Harden throughout their time in Houston, signed with the 76ers this season with hopes of reuniting along with his former teammate. However, the probability of that reunion now seems minimal as Harden has requested a trade.
