Bafana Bafana star participant Percy Tau redeemed himself on Sunday following his penalty miss towards Mali.
Against Namibia, Bafana had been awarded a penalty and Tau stepped as much as open the scoring within the 14th minutes as Bafana defeated the Brave Warriors 4-0.

The Al Ahly winger revealed what his teamamtes stated to him after his penalty miss towards Mali in Bafanaa’s opening African Cup of Nations match.
“They were disappointed because they thought I was going to score, so it was not nice, they gave me the responsibility,” Tau stated.
“When I missed, it was like; ‘ah you could have scored that one’ – it may have modified the sport, however they perceive these items occur, it’s soccer.

Tau steps up towards Namibia
“We’ll try and give everything, we’ll try, I don’t think this win gives us the feeling to be over the moon or to feel that we are doing great, we’re still grounded,” he said.
Tau, who has earned over 40 caps for Bafana, stated it felt good to rectify his errors.

“I’ve been playing for my country for some time now, I feel like I’ve given so much more than the missed penalty. I didn’t think twice about taking this penalty, it’s nice also to be able to rectify the mistakes.”
Bafana go into their final Afcon group match realizing {that a} draw towards Tunisia ought to see them qualify for the spherical of 16.
Tau stated the crew was ready to offer it all the pieces on Wednesday.
“We’ll try to do everything in the last game because we know it can go either way – so we don’t want to be on the out with the last game so we’ll try and give everything and hopefully we win, play good football, take our chances to score, don’t concede, it will be nice [to keep another cleansheet].”
