Pidcock to skip Cyclocross Worlds in February

Tom Pidcock is not going to defend his world champion title on the Cyclocross World Championships in Hoogerheide on February fifth.

The reigning champion will skip the race to concentrate on street biking and spring classics. That’s what his coach Kurt Bogaerts stated to Sporza throughout the X2O Trophy Baal.

Pidcock gained the world champion title final yr in Fayetteville, beating Lars van der Haar and Eli Iserbyt.

“Tom wont ride the World Championships. We decided that a while ago. We aim for a good campaign during the spring classics. The World Championships are in the way of that,” his coach stated.

Pidcock completed third on the primary day of the yr on the GP Sven Nys after crashing inside the ultimate lap, dropping his lead.
