Proteas blow as Dwaine Pretorius ruled OUT of T20 World Cup

Proteas all-rounder Dwaine Pretorius has been ruled out of the continued ODI sequence in opposition to India and this month’s T20 World Cup in Australia.

Cricket South Africa (CSA) confirmed the news on Thursday earlier than the beginning of the opening One-Day International (ODI) in opposition to India in Lucknow.

Pretorius fractured his left thumb through the third T20 International in opposition to India in Indore, the place he picked up 3-26.

Pretorius was on account of be half of the Proteas’ 15-man squad for the T20 World Cup in Australia, scheduled from 16 October to 13 November.

All-rounder Marco Jansen has been added to the ODI squad and an additional announcement on Pretorius’ substitute for the T20 World Cup “will be made in the coming days”.
