Proteas chase 212 to level India ODI series

South Africa received the toss and despatched India in to bat within the second one-day international (ODI) at St George’s Park on Tuesday.

India received the primary match by eight wickets in Johannesburg on Sunday.

India made one enforced change.

New one-day cap Rinku Singh changed top-order batsman Shreyas Iyer, who has joined the nation’s Test squad forward of a two-Test series beginning in Centurion on December 26.

South Africa introduced in quick bowlers Lizaad Williams and left-armer Beuran Hendricks instead of all-rounder Andile Phehlukwayo and left-arm spinner Tabraiz Shamsi.

Hendricks was added to the squad on Tuesday morning when Phehlukwayo and back-up quick bowler Ottniel Baartman have been each dominated out due to facet strains.

South African captain Aiden Markram stated he hoped his workforce would have the ability to make use of a recent pitch.
