Proteas to face Afghanistan and New Zealand in warm-ups

The official warm-up fixtures for all ten groups on the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 have been introduced with the Proteas set to tackle Afghanistan and New Zealand to tune up.

The matches shall be held from 29 September to 3 October throughout three venues in India – Guwahati, Hyderabad and Thiruvananthapuram.

Proteas to encamp at Greenfield

Thiruvananthapuram performs host to the Proteas run out towards Afghanistan on the Greenfield International Stadium on Friday 29 September 2023 in addition to their conflict towards the Black Caps.

As at earlier ICC Cricket World Cup occasions, warm-up fixtures shall be 50 overs per facet, however is not going to carry ODI standing as groups shall be allowed to subject all members of their 15-player squad in these matches.

The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 begins on 5 October when defending champions England face New Zealand in Ahmedabad, which will even be the venue for the ultimate on 19 November.
