Proteas white-ball fixtures against Australia announced

South Africa’s Proteas will tune up for the Cricket World Cup with a five-match collection against Australia in August and September.

The Proteas may also face the Australians in three T20 matches.

The tour to South Africa by Australia will mark the beginning of the 2023/34 worldwide season for the Proteas.

Kingsmead to host T20s

Kingsmead in Durban will host the three T20 matches on August 30, and September 1 and three.

The five-match ODI collection can be performed in Bloemfontein, Potchefstroom, Centurion and Joburg.

The Mangaung Oval will host the primary two ODIs on September 7 and 9 earlier than the groups conflict on the JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom on September 12.

The groups then head to Gauteng for the ultimate matches at SuperSport Park on September 15, with the ultimate match set for the Wanderers on September 17.

Cricket World Cup

“It is the start of the international season for us and it is a particularly important campaign in many respects because of the Cricket World Cup which is taking place in India later in the year,” stated Chief Executive Officer Pholetsi Moseki.

“We haven’t certified simply but, however we hope to be there and difficult one of the best on the earth when the event is performed in October and November.

“Games and tours like these against a formidable Australia side can only do good for our Proteas. It is also an opportunity for coach Rob Walter and his team to keep building on the excellent work they have already done so far together.”
