U19 CAPTAIN OPENLY SUPPORTED ISRAEL’S GENOCIDE

After receiving the Rising Star of the Absa Jewish Achiever Awards final month, Teeger stated, “Yes, I’ve been [given] this award, and yes, I’m now the Rising Star, but the true rising stars are the young soldiers in Israel.”

The settler colonial Israeli authorities is at present waging war on Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip, West Bank and Jerusalem as a part of its 75-year unlawful occupation of Palestine.

Having acquired a criticism from the Palestine Solidarity Alliance, the CSA board on Saturday resolved to nominate an unbiased enquiry to be adjudicated by Advocate Wim Trengove to find out whether or not Teeger breached both the CSA or Central Gauteng Lions codes of conduct.

CSA stated the enquiry “will be conducted expeditiously and the decision of Adv Trengove as well as his reasons will be made public.”

REACTION FROM SA JEWISH BOARD

Earlier this week, the SA Jewish Board of Deputies instructed News24 that Teeger was entitled to his opinion.

“There was nothing inflammatory about Teeger’s comments,” stated nationwide director Wendy Kahn.

“They have been of a private nature, expressing his deeply held help for the Jewish state and mentioning household and mates in Israel who’ve been impacted by Hamas’s terror assault.

“Every different South African is permitted to precise their views on worldwide points, particularly when people who find themselves near them are among the many victims.

“It appears, however, that there are separate rules for Jews as, apparently, the constitutional tenants of freedom of speech are not applicable to Teeger.”
