SA’s Jaco Peyper to referee Champions Cup final

South Africa’s Jaco Peyper will take cost of this season’s Champions Cup final, to be contested between Leinster and defending champions, La Rochelle, at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on Saturday 20 May.

Peyper is the primary South African to be appointed to a European Cup final.

England’s Wayne Barnes will officiate the Challenge Cup final, on the identical venue on Friday, 19 May, between Glasgow Warriors and Toulon. It shall be Barnes’ sixth European final. He has beforehand taken cost of the 2012 and 2019 Challenge Cup deciding matches in addition to three Champions Cup finals in 2010, 2018 and final season.
