“You went out sad,” undisputed welterweight champion Terence Crawford tweeted at Jermell Charlo this previous weekend after Charlo misplaced a large resolution to undisputed tremendous middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez. “Didn’t even try to win, all you did was try to survive. You should be ashamed of yourself.” Crawford wasn’t the one one essential of Charlo’s failed, defense-minded efficiency. The web was abuzz with followers complaining of Charlo’s lack of aggression. Still, the Crawford feedback have been notably potent, as Charlo had expressed curiosity in dealing with Crawford in a post-fight interview on Saturday. “I want to fight Terence Crawford,” he said

Apparently Crawford wasn’t eager on the concept. “Ok y’all I’m over @TwinCharlo,” he said in one other tweet, “he’s no longer on my hit list. He went out there and laid down and let Canelo spank him like he was his daddy with no type of resistance.” Indeed, Crawford saved his compliments for Canelo himself. “Congratulations @Canelo you made the so called lion look like a baby cub,” he tweeted. Whatever the rationale for Charlo’s defeat on Saturday (other than the truth that Canelo is a rare fighter), the person’s fame has clearly taken a success as a direct outcome.

Ironically sufficient, the world of boxing is now buzzing about the opportunity of a battle between Crawford and Canelo. That is likely to be an excellent larger leap for Crawford than the 2 weight division bounce Charlo made to battle Canelo. While a bout between the 2 undisputed stars can be fascinating, the truth that Canelo is an excellent middleweight and Crawford is a welterweight means the dimensions distinction between the 2 males can be appreciable – even at a catchweight. Still, it appears Crawford would plan to battle extra offensively than Charlo did, which might make issues attention-grabbing on the very least – if not downright harmful.
