FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem says he’d carry again former Formula 1 race director Michael Masi into the fold if the association “needs” him.
Masi made a controversial choice on the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix which handed the title to Max Verstappen over his rival Lewis Hamilton.
Hamilton was main the Abu Dhabi GP which was the final race of the season however a crash from Nicholas Latifi introduced a security automobile.

This allowed Red Bull to carry Verstappen in for recent tyres hoping Masi would enable the race to renew. A brake hearth from Latifi’s automobile meant the marshalls had been going to take a little bit longer to take away the automobile.
