‘There’s something not right with this car’ – Hamilton after Q2 exit

Lewis Hamilton had a disastrous qualifying session on the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix having solely managed eleventh place.

The 38-year-old driver struggled all weekend and was ultimately eradicated in Q2.

Upon studying of his exit from the session, Hamilton was heard to report over staff radio that “there’s something not right with this car”.

This was the second weekend in a row that the British driver was eradicated from Q2.

“It’s simply very free. This automotive’s unpredictable at each nook – in a single nook it’s a method, in one other nook it’s one other. It’s not a constant automotive.

“Poor balance, and no set-up change I can make seems to get it right. It’s a struggle just to get out of Q1,” stated the Mercedes driver,

At the Las Vegas GP, Hamilton additionally certified eleventh.

“Yeah, I mean these last two races have been a disaster for me, particularly in qualifying – I’ve had two 11th places. It’s very rare but, yeah, it’s the last race,” stated Hamilton.

His teammate George Russell regarded robust all weekend and managed to position his automotive on the second row.

“I feel good in the car. The last couple of races I’ve felt really strong, really comfortable and just in a nice groove, to be honest,” stated Russell.
