Tristan Stubbs cracks the nod for Proteas Test squad

Cricket South Africa (CSA) has immediately named the Proteas squads for the all-format inbound tour towards India from 10 December – 07 January. 

The tour, often known as the Freedom Series, contains of three KFC T20 Internationals (T20Is), three Betway One-Internationals (ODIs) and two Test matches.

Western Province trio Mihlali Mpongwana, David Bedingham and Nandre Burger have earned their maiden call-ups to the nationwide set-up.  

Fast bowler Burger is rewarded for his excellent all-round type this season by being named in all three squads, whereas batter Bedingham is picked in the Test squad. All-rounder Mpongwana, in the meantime, has been named in the ODI squad following a profitable CSA Division 1 One-Day Cup marketing campaign the place he recorded his maiden List A ton and took 3/32 in the ultimate towards North West Dragons in October.
