UPDATE: De Kock, Van der Dussen carry Proteas to 357 against NZ

Experienced opener De Kock made his fourth century of the match.

Top-order batters Quinton de Kock and Rassie van der Dussen each scored centuries on Wednesday, laying a strong basis for South Africa of their Cricket World Cup match against New Zealand in Pune.

After being despatched in to bat, the Proteas reached a complete of 357/4 from their 50 overs.

Experienced opener De Kock continued to flaunt his spectacular type, hitting his fourth ton of the match as he prolonged his lead on the prime of the scoring charts with 545 runs from seven video games.

Captain Temba Bavuma fell for twenty-four runs within the ninth over, however De Kock then mixed in a large 200-run stand for the second wicket with Van der Dussen.

De Kock was ultimately dismissed with 10 overs left within the innings when he clipped a Tim Southee supply to Glenn Phillips at backward level, after contributing 104 from 106 balls.

Van der Dussen went on to make 133 runs – only one in need of his ODI profession greatest – earlier than he too was dismissed by Southee within the forty eighth over. He confronted 118 deliveries, smashing 9 fours and 5 sixes.

David Miller added a quickfire 53 from 30 deliveries, earlier than Heinrich Klaasen (15 not out) and Aiden Markram (six not out) carried the SA crew to a formidable whole.

New Zealand, mendacity third within the round-robin standings (two factors behind second-placed South Africa) can be chasing 358 runs for victory.
