UPDATE: Klaasen ton boosts Proteas to 399/7 against England

The SA workforce made their highest ever ODI rating against England.

Heinrich Klaasen led the cost as South Africa hammered England’s bowlers on Saturday, racking up a large whole of 399/7 of their Cricket World Cup match in Mumbai.

After being despatched in to bat, Quinton de Kock was eliminated with the second ball of the innings when seamer Reece Topley had him caught behind (following a profitable assessment by the England workforce) however the Proteas high order managed to get better from the early knock.

Reeza Hendricks, who changed captain Temba Bavuma within the workforce for the sport after the skipper fell unwell, shared 121 for the second wicket with Rassie van der Dussen.

Following Van der Dussen’s dismissal for 60 runs within the twentieth over, Hendricks went on to make 85 off 75 balls, whereas stand-in captain Aiden Markram added a helpful 42.

Demolition effort

Klaasen then picked up the tempo with a relentless demolition effort, reaching his fourth profession ODI century by bashing 109 runs off 67 balls (together with 12 fours and 4 sixes).

He mixed in a 151-run stand with in-form all-rounder Marco Jansen for the sixth wicket, and after Klaasen was bowled by Gus Atkinson within the last over, Jansen carried the SA workforce dwelling as they compiled their highest ever rating against England. Jansen contributed his maiden ODI half-century, making 75 not out from 42 deliveries.

England might be chasing a target of 400 runs for victory within the round-robin conflict.
