The Sharks have made numerous huge modifications suggesting they’re ready to sacrifice this fixture.

Director of Rugby Neill Powell had his say.

“It is important for us to manage our squad well and it is part of our rotational policy,” mentioned the Sharks boss.

“If you take a look at our travelling schedule over the following few weeks, we play Connacht away, then Bordeaux again right here in Durban after which Harlequins away.

“I can’t think about one workforce having to journey and play all these video games.

“We are in an 11-game block the place we solely performed six and we received one other 5 left.

“For us to get the workforce and the teaching employees to have power after we attain video games 10 and 11 we wanted to rotate and we wanted to handle the squad a little bit bit.

“We identified this trip to Connacht as one of the weeks where we can use the rotational policy and create a bit of squad depth and also coaching experience.”
