Warriors Break Silence on Their Surprise Pursuit of LeBron James

Warriors proprietor Joe Lacob has addressed ESPN’s bombshell report concerning the staff’s pursuit of LeBron James.

It was simply the most important story in basketball for days on finish, with Golden State attempting to increase their dynasty by attempting to land arguably the best participant of all-time.

“We have a culture that is very aggressive,” Lacob stated on The TK Show following the report’s publication.

“We’re always going to try to be aggressive, we’re going to try to put the best team on the court. And if it costs a lot of money, it’s gonna cost a lot of money. We’re willing to invest in it. We do those things, hopefully at the right time, not the wrong time.”

Lacob referred to the staff’s daring play for Kevin Durant in 2016, which ensured two extra championships for Golden State and a full-blown dynasty, with the staff profitable a complete of 4 championships between 2015 and 2022.

“That was an incredibly aggressive move that we made where I think half of our roster went away in order to accomplish it,” Lacob stated. “We felt, even though, we had a really good team we could be better.”

 

Despite the Warriors being unable to land James earlier than the commerce deadline, they are going to proceed to watch his scenario in LA, in line with ESPN’s Zach Lowe.
