WATCH: Siya Kolisi interviewed during famous F1 ‘grid walk’

The iconic Monaco F1 Grand Prix attracts stars from around the globe every year, and on Sunday, Springbok captain Siya Kolisi made a notable look on the famend sports activities occasion.

Formula 1 correspondent Martin Brundle is famend for his ‘grid stroll’ phase earlier than races when he walks up and down the observe and spontaneously interviews varied celebrities and stars. And on this event, Brundle took a second to meet up with Kolisi, who accurately predicted that Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc would win the race. 

Comically, on the finish of the interview, Kolisi spots former Springbok team-mate Tendai Mtawarira on the grid, and the 2 World Cup winners share a heat embrace.

Meanwhile, Brundle casually strikes on and says: “There’s somebody else I want to talk to down here”.

After a famous victory, Leclerc spoke passionately about what an emotional second it was, particularly as he ideas of his father Herve, who died in 2017.

“It’s the race that made me dream of changing into a Formula One driver sooner or later,” he stated. “And it was such a troublesome race emotionally as a result of already 15 laps to the top you might be simply hoping nothing occurs, already the feelings had been coming.

“I was thinking of my dad a lot more than I thought usually while driving – obviously he’s given everything for me to be here. It was our dream for me to race here and to win and so it’s unbelievable.”

He added that he had issue seeing clearly due to tears during the closing laps. “Not now, Charles, I said to myself. Not now. I could feel it when I came out of the tunnel near the end and I was struggling to see because I was crying a little bit,” he revealed.
