Utah Jazz head coach Will Hardy had some nice issues to say about Italian rookie Simone Fontecchio after his stable performance vs. the Golden State Warriors throughout their 124-123 dwelling win final night time (career-high 18 factors/scored the go-ahead dunk with 1.4 seconds left).

(through Fanatics View Hoops):

“I think he was great. His national team coach is in town, so maybe he should come more. But similar to Nickeil [Alexander-Walker], we’ve had a bunch of guys on our team because of our depth, we have some good players that don’t get to play every night. He’s been a pro since he was 16-years-old, and he continues to work every single day. Another guy that never complains, never asks for more. Some nights he plays a decent amount, and some nights he plays none.

“We all know he’s a capable player and he can really shoot. He’s smart and knows what he’s doing, you saw that when he drove the closeout and got the left handed dunk. He reads the game very, very well. It’s always rewarding when you see guys that behind the scenes have been putting in a lot of work and staying ready. Even though they maybe haven’t gotten what they wanted individually, to see them in a game like this tonight, and come out and play a good game, that always makes you feel good.”
