Zak Brown to remain McLaren’s CEO until 2030

On the eve of the Australian Grand Prix, McLaren Racing have introduced that Zak Brown has prolonged his contract as Chief Executive Officer until 2030.

The American initially joined McLaren Racing in 2016 because the Executive Director of McLaren Technology Group. Having fulfilled this place for 2 years, he assumed the position of CEO in April 2018.

Brown, who raced professionally world wide for ten years earlier than growing his expertise in motorsport’s enterprise, “played a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of McLaren Racing, overseeing operational high performance across all of McLaren’s race teams and driving significant marketing and commercial development.”

Expanding on the announcement, McLaren Group Executive Chairman Paul Walsh mentioned: “Zak has demonstrated distinctive management qualities and has been instrumental in driving McLaren Racing ahead. His extension displays our confidence in his potential to lead the staff to even higher success within the years to come.”

Speaking of the contract extension, Zak Brown mentioned:   “I am thrilled to continue leading McLaren Racing and to be a part of such a historic race team. It is a privilege to work alongside the talented men and women across McLaren Racing’s different race series. Together, we will continue to push the boundaries of motorsport and strive for the highest performance on and off the track.”
