Zimbabwe name South African as new cricket head coach

South African Justin Sammons has been named coach of Zimbabwe and can debut in a Twenty20 worldwide collection towards India, the nationwide cricket board said in Harare on Wednesday.

“We are delighted to confirm Justin as head coach of the Zimbabwe senior men’s national team,” Zimbabwe Cricket chairman Tavengwa Mukuhlani stated.

“He brings a wealth of teaching expertise and a repute of figuring out, nurturing and creating a few of the greatest younger expertise in South Africa.

“His hard-working and passionate approach as well as sense of values on and off the pitch make him the ideal person to take us forward.”

Zimbabwe will face India in Harare in early July

Sammons will put together a T20I squad for 5 matches towards international giants India in Harare from July 6-14.
